Individual counseling
Individual counseling helps one understand the nature and origin of a problem, guides the person in finding a solution, in that way reducing the symptoms and improving daily functioning. After the initial discussion of the problem (how long has it been present, the effects it has on daily functioning, what eases or worsens the situation...), a joint decision on the further counseling process is made. Meetings are usually held once a week and last one hour. The Psychological Counseling Office of the University Counseling Center usually offers shorter counseling sessions, with 8 as the average number of meetings. The length of counseling depends on various factors and can last from a few up to 12 meetings. If you require counseling, please fill in the application form: https://forms.gle/LPvnbmSgbZepNWr69. We will be in contact with you to arrange an appointment as soon as possible. Comments from users of the Psychological Counseling Office: "It's a real treasure to have people who accept you with so much enthusiasm and care when you find yourself in a seemingly hopeless situation and help you find a solution to your problems. Knowing that there are competent people you can rely on when problems accumulate, makes the daily struggle less stressful." |
